$195 diagnostic fee and $1,005 estimate to replace the audio control module in a 10 year old vehicle; that is approximately 14% of the retail value of the vehicle. Contacted service representative and was told that was the only option due to their vendors.
Removed the ACM myself (YouTube is great) and sent it out for repair that includes a 1year warranty for a total cost (including shipping) of $200. So for $600 less than what Varsity quoted (their diagnostic fee plus components cost) I was able to fix the problem.

I made an appointment to get my car checked for an AC issue, but my car wasn’t looked at that day. Very disappointed. Waited another day for an answer which I did get via text msg. No issue was found, no charge given, I picked up my car.

I had some car troubles and varsity ford really cares about their customers. Everyone I dealt with was so kind and reasonable. Eric one of the service techs went above and beyond to help me. My car had broken down at a busy intersection, he was on his way to work and out of the kindness of his heart stopped to help me and figure out what was wrong with my vehicle. The world needs more people like him and hopefully his management sees this and gives him a raise because he definitely deserves one!
