Ford Reveals 9,300-Pound Tow Rating For 2018 Expedition

Back in February when the 2018 Ford Expedition was first revealed, everything about the redesign that involved numbers was entirely hush-hush. In one particularly entertaining The Fast Lane Truck video, hosts try in vain to tease specs out of a Ford representative.

This month, Ford finally announced the SAE-certified tow rating for the 2018 Expedition: 9,300 pounds.

According to Ford, this will put it ahead of other full-size SUVs in trailering capability. And what is power without finesse? The 2018 Expedition will also be available with the Pro Trailer Backup Assist feature offered on F-Series pickups.
